Keeping your seed phrase safe

Write your seed phrase down on paper and keep it somewhere safe and offline.

Never type it into a message, an email, a cloud document or a website, and never take a photo of it. Anything that is online or synced can be read by someone else.

No real support team will ever ask for your seed phrase. Anyone who asks for it, or for your private key, is trying to take your funds.

If you think someone has seen it, act straight away. Create a new wallet and move your funds to it. The old seed phrase cannot be changed, so the old wallet will never be safe again.

A hardware wallet does not replace your seed phrase. If the device breaks or resets, the seed phrase is still the only way back.
