Null consensus
Null consensus is an alternative way for a subnet to decide miner rewards. Yuma Consensus is still the default, and a subnet owner has to choose Null.
Under Yuma, many validators score miners and the chain combines their scores into one result. Null skips that step. Only one validator is allowed to set weights: the registered participant with the most stake behind it. Its weights are used as they are to split the miner rewards.
Everyone else with stake on the subnet still earns validator dividends in proportion to their stake.
Without the combining and bond calculations, Null can handle much larger competitions. A Null subnet can hold up to 2,500 participants instead of 256, and its weights can be precise enough that very small reward shares are not rounded away.
The tradeoff is that the scores come from one validator, with no other validators' views mixed in. The root subnet cannot use Null.
