Checking before you send
A transfer cannot be reversed once it is in a block, so a few seconds of checking is worth it.
Check the whole address, not just the first and last few characters. Some attackers send a tiny amount from an address that looks almost the same as one you use, hoping you will copy it from your history next time. If an unexpected small transfer appears in your wallet, treat it as a warning sign and do not reuse that address.
Send TAO to the right kind of address. A wallet has two kinds of key, a coldkey and a hotkey, and both have addresses that start with 5. Funds should always go to a coldkey address. Sending TAO to a hotkey address can leave it stuck.
