The Rewards Allocator Strategies

Overview

The Top 10, Top 20, and Top 50 strategies automatically send your claimed rewards into the highest-ranked subnets on the Bittensor network. They track the rankings for you, so you can set your strategy once and let the Rewards Allocator handle the rest.

Pick my strategy

Each strategy follows the same logic. The difference is how many subnets your rewards are spread across:

  • Top 10: A small, concentrated set of the highest-ranked subnets.
  • Top 20: A balanced allocation diversified across more subnets.
  • Top 50: A wide spread that includes smaller subnets.

To choose one, open the Rewards Allocator and select your strategy on the Pick a bundle screen.

How it works

  1. Always following the rankings: Your subnet list is live. When a subnet enters your chosen range, the Rewards Allocator starts sending it new rewards. When a subnet drops out, the allocator stops sending it new rewards.
  2. DCA staking: Each time you claim rewards from your Root stake, the allocator sends them to the subnets on your list. This Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) approach builds your positions gradually over time.
  3. One subnet at a time: Every subnet requires a minimum amount of TAO to start a stake, so the allocator works sequentially. It fills the minimum on the first subnet before moving to the next.

Will it sell my other tokens?

No. The Rewards Allocator only works with your newly claimed rewards.

  • If a subnet falls out of your chosen range, the allocator simply stops sending it new rewards.
  • It will never automatically sell or move the TAO you already hold in those subnets. You stay in full control of your existing balances.

This feature works best with around 15 TAO or more staked on Root.

  • Why? A larger stake builds rewards faster, so each claim comfortably covers its network fee and reaches subnet minimums sooner.
  • With less than 15 TAO, the tool still works. It will just take longer for your rewards to build up enough to start a new subnet position.
