Custom Strategy

Overview

The Custom strategy lets you hand-pick which subnets receive your claimed rewards. It uses the same one-at-a-time staking logic as the Top 10, Top 20, and Top 50 strategies, with a list you control.

Set up my Custom strategy

1. Open the Rewards Allocator.
2. On the Pick a bundle screen, select Custom.
3. Choose the subnets you want to allocate into and save your list.

How it works

1. Your fixed list: Your subnet list stays exactly as you set it. It won't change when network rankings shift.
2. Sequential staking: The allocator starts with the first subnet on your list. Once your claimed rewards meet that subnet's minimum, it moves on to the next one.
3. Hands-off DCA: Each time you claim rewards, Crucible handles the staking transactions for you and builds your chosen positions over time.

Common questions

Can I change my list?
Yes. You can add or remove subnets at any time.

What if I have a small amount of TAO?
The allocator still works, and it may take a while for your rewards to build up enough to start your first subnet position. We recommend around 15 TAO or more staked on Root for the best results.

Does it sell my other tokens?
No. The allocator only uses newly claimed rewards. It never touches tokens you've already staked or the TAO in your wallet.
