Isabella Liu

Isabella is a tech partner at Crucible Labs, where she brings a deep background in distributed systems and applied machine learning. Prior to joining Crucible, she was a founding engineer at Bittensor and the Opentensor Foundation, leading core research in machine learning for decentralized systems and playing a pivotal role in shaping Bittensor’s tokenomics since 2021.

She holds a degree in Computer Science from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Isabella excels at analytical problem-solving—leveraging mathematics and data science to uncover subtle issues early, often acting as a canary in the coal mine. Her strength lies in distilling complexity into clarity, especially at the intersection of research and system design.
